This week we had Reading: 441 pages of Council documents and Hours in meetings: 7 hours
This week was dominated by the monthly Council meeting followed by a workshop on how we time our Fresh Water Plan updates. I’ll do a separate blog on the water issues.
The Council meeting included presentations from students who were our summer interns this year. The value they provided is impressive. Their work involved everything from working on an AI project through to monitoring threats to biodiversity in our waters. You might have seen some of the media releases on that over summer.
Another key discussion was about how well we meet transparency measures as set down by the ombudsman and generally we aren’t too bad but will actively check to see we are being as open as possible with more workshops to be streamed.
